The Sheriff identifies Corrections as the inmate-question line. The Records Division processes authorized record releases from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and recommends calling before visiting. Its local practice requests photo identification for report copies. Ask Records for the release date, time, legal basis, any transfer recipient, and the booking photograph when needed.

County-listed hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The two official sources disagree on the phone number. Verify the number before visiting. This office handles assigned probation and supervised-release work in Pennington and Marshall Counties; it is not a jail and does not maintain a public list of every person released locally.

Use MNDOC for a state commitment, prison status, actual confinement release date, supervision status, or final discharge history. The Public Viewer may stop showing a person after DOC jurisdiction fully ends. Minnesota Haven prison-notification questions go through the Victim Assistance Program at 800-657-3830, not county VINE.
Notification and Federal Contacts
Minnesota VINE support is 866-277-7477. State materials also list the Minnesota program at 877-664-8463 and the Office of Justice Programs help line at 800-247-0390. VINE serves participating county detention events, not MNDOC prison notices.
For ICE custody, the Detention Reporting and Information Line is 1-888-351-4024, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern. BOP release status should be checked in its inmate locator. U.S. Marshals custody requires the known partner facility, federal docket, or a focused FOIA request because USMS has no public person locator.
